Composition
- Glass Fiber Cloth: The base of Silicone Coated Fiberglass Fabric is made from glass fibers, which are known for their excellent strength, low thermal expansion, and electrical insulating properties. Glass fiber also offers good dimensional stability and resistance to chemicals and abrasion.
- Silicone Coating: A layer of silicone rubber is applied to the glass fiber cloth, enhancing the material's flexibility, heat resistance, and water repellency. Silicone is a highly versatile material that remains stable at a wide range of temperatures, typically from -50°C to 230°C (-58°F to 446°F), and in some cases can withstand even higher temperatures for short periods.
